Graphics
designed and implemented a new Talking Kiosk for Boston
Museum of Science's
Messages Exhibit. This exhibit explores the many ways that humans
communicate with one another, from speech, to codes, to sign
language, to body language and facial expressions.

Many of
the individual activities that make up the exhibit have special
features that enhance their accessibility for people with disabilities.
The new kiosk incorporates a tactile map and a simple tactile
and audio interface to help users decide what is of special
interest for them, and offers way-finding information.
A special feature allows the user to request a destination and
listen as the Kiosk's narrator guides his or her hand to that
place on the map.
