This simple device detects touches on 10 different surfaces or objects. To create your own interactive talking touchable models or sculptures from any material: purchase one our TouchSensor devices online for $399. Buy a can of silvaSpray paint from Caswell Plastics. Apply paint to any area that is to be made touch-sensitive, then connect one of the ten (included) wires to that area using a metal screw. Plug the other end of the wire in to our TouchSensor device, and connect the device to a PC or Mac with a USB cable (included). When a person touches any part of one of the painted regions, a description or other sound will be played through the computer's speakers. Once treated with Silvaspray, the model or sculpture can then be top-coated with any desired visual layer that is robust enough to withstand the abrasion and oils that come from extensive touching, especially in public places like museums. In the case of models with more than 10 parts, up to 25 touchSensor devices can be connected to a standard USB hub, for a total maximum of 250 individual channels. Touch Graphics also specializes in designing and fabricating all kinds of touchable talking models and sculptures , from rocket ships, to architectural models and displays , to three dimensional, light-transmissive maps of public spaces. These multisensory displays are surprisingly affordable, so please give us a call at 1-800-884-2440. |
